David Sperry (1984) is a freelance photographer born in Seoul, Korea and based between New York and Barcelona. This site features a selection of his work covering armed conflict, humanitarian emergency, political events and social issues. David started taking pictures during the Second Intifada, covering the death and funeral of Yasser Arafat. Since then he has continued to focus on life in changing societies, documenting events in Gaza, Ukraine, Mali, Syria, Egypt, Libya, Serbia, Kosovo and Haiti. Publications include Vanity Fair, TIME, US News & World Report, Christian Science Monitor, The Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, Le Monde, Libération, The Times, The Guardian, El Pais, Expresso, etc. |
